Gaza Medical Students Graduation Ceremony

Alhamdulillah! In a monumental triumph of resilience over adversity, 113 final-year medical students from the Islamic University of Gaza have officially graduated as doctors. Supported throughout their arduous academic journey by Aghosh UK and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, these extraordinary graduates stood tall during a heartfelt ceremony where Chairman Dr. Adeel Riaz addressed the gathering remotely. We extend our warmest congratulations to the new doctors, their families, and dedicated teachers, while expressing deep gratitude to our generous donors whose support made this milestone possible — may Allah (SWT) reward you all abundantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Aghosh UK Talented Medical Students Program?

The Talented Medical Students Program is a scholarship initiative by Aghosh UK (in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation). It provides financial assistance, tuition sponsorship, and learning support to high-achieving, underprivileged medical students (MBBS/BDS) who face severe financial hardship.

To qualify for support, applicants typically need to meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Merit: Strong academic record (matriculation, intermediate/A-Levels, and current medical college GPA/marks).

  • Enrolment: Admitted into a recognized public or accredited private medical college.

  • Financial Need: Demonstrated financial hardship (e.g., low family income, orphan status, or sudden crisis).

Yes, subject to annual academic performance reviews. Selected students receive ongoing sponsorship throughout their 5-year MBBS/BDS degree, provided they maintain the required GPA/academic standing.
