🙶 That which you give in usury for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which you give for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase); it is those who will get a recompense multiplied.🙷

Abu Hurairah (R.A.) reported Allah’s Messenger (S.A.W.S.) as saying: 🙶 Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).🙷

About Sadaqah

Sadaqah (voluntary charity) is a virtuous deed in Islam. In fact, it is considered as a proof of one’s eeman (faith). The Prophet (S.A.W.S.) sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said in the following authentic hadeeth: Abu Malik al-Ashari (R.A.) (radhi Allahu anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (S.A.W.S.) Said: “Cleanliness is half of faith. Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) fills the scale. SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah) and Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) fill up what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is a light. Charity is proof (of one’s faith). Endurance is a brightness and the Qur’an is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves. Donate Sadaqah to Aghosh UK

Sadaqah is not limited to giving money or part of our wealth; it is an opportunity for every Muslim to earn rewards from Allah. Sadaqah is a simple yet powerful way to increase our eeman, and every Muslim, whether poor or wealthy, can give sadaqah at any time.

By offering your sadaqah to Aghosh UK, you become part of a virtuous cycle of giving, ensuring that your charitable contributions reach their fullest potential. Aghosh UK uses these generous donations to provide vital assistance in education, healthcare, clean water, and disaster relief, among other essential services. Your sadaqah, given with a pure heart, has the power to transform lives, offering hope, dignity, and brighter prospects to the less privileged.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the main difference between Zakat and Sadaqah?

Zakat is a mandatory annual obligation required of every adult Muslim whose wealth meets the Nisab threshold. Sadaqah, on the other hand, is entirely voluntary charity. It can be given by anyone—regardless of wealth—at any time of the year, in any amount, and carries immense spiritual rewards as a direct proof of one’s eeman (faith).

According to Islamic tradition, it does not. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) explicitly stated in a Hadith (Sahih Muslim) that charity does not in any way decrease wealth. Instead, Allah (SWT) purifies, blesses, and multiplies the remaining wealth of the giver, returning the reward both in this world and the hereafter.

Aghosh UK channels your voluntary charity into critical, life-saving humanitarian sectors where funding is most urgently required. Your Sadaqah directly supports:

  • Education: Funding school supplies and learning opportunities for vulnerable children.

  • Healthcare: Delivering vital medical screening and treatment to impoverished families.

  • Clean Water: Establishing safe water infrastructure in remote and destitute communities.

  • Disaster Relief: Providing immediate emergency food, shelter, and medical support during crises.

No, Sadaqah is unique because it encompasses all acts of voluntary kindness. While monetary donations through Aghosh UK provide the physical means to build infrastructure and distribute aid, the Prophet (SAW) taught us that every good deed—including sharing knowledge, offering a helping hand, smiling at another, or removing harm from a path—is recorded as Sadaqah.
