Center In Mirpur
The new Centre will include:
- A multi-storey, multi-purpose hub for the whole community, delivering spiritual, social and educational services and fostering community cohesion
- state-of-the-art modern, purpose built facilities with enhanced facilities for prayer, ablution and janaza (funerals),
- a Skills Development Centre for youth empowerment
- a dedicated emergency relief distribution area
- A library, and sports and recreation facilities especially for young people
- accommodation units for the local imam and families-in-need.
Beneficiaries include the local community, religious scholars, young people and children, families-in-need and the general public.
The centre will be accessible and cater to the needs of all community members, including those with limited mobility
Mirpur's Healthcare Crisis
The Mirpur district has healthcare infrastructure that is limited in quantity and unequally distributed. The absence of diagnostic centres, especially in rural areas, has severe implications when timely diagnoses are crucial.
The new Aghosh UK Diagnostic Lab in Mirpur is set to transform healthcare for over 2 million people in Mirpur and North Punjab.
