Pakistan is facing a devastating monsoon season characterized by heavy rains, flash floods, and severe inundations that have claimed 107 lives and injured 344 people since late June, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recording 55 deaths and Punjab reporting 36. Over half of these fatalities resulted from house and roof collapses, while Punjab remains in an alarming state as record-breaking cloudbursts have submerged roughly 400 square kilometers across the Lahore and Gujranwala divisions under water, prompting authorities to set up at least 17 flood relief camps in Lahore. With major rivers like the Ravi flowing at medium flood levels and the Meteorological Department warning of a fresh wet spell threatening upper Punjab, Islamabad, KPK, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan through September, millions remain vulnerable, making urgent relief and donor support critical to saving lives and rebuilding communities.

Teams including Alkhidmat Foundation, local rescue services, and district administrations remain actively deployed across heavily affected districts: Lower Chitral, Buner, Diamer, Neelum Valley, Sheikhupura, Jhang, and Lahore.
